Local AI, in plain language
Running a model on your PC may give your business more control. What happens to your inputs still depends on the app and its setup.
If a model runs on your PC and the app keeps your inputs there, they may stay on your PC. Using a local model does not secure your PC or prove the app is private. An app may sync data, collect usage information, back up online, use cloud services, or connect to other online features.
Some downloaded models can work without internet after setup. Downloads, updates, sign-in, connected tools, and other online features may still need a connection.
Local AI is not always cheaper. A PC or upgrades, electricity, licenses, setup, or support can add costs. Local.ai plans are one-time purchases: LITE $29, BIZ $39, and PRO $49.
Your PC check
You decide whether to start the check. After you give consent, this website reads the RAM and processor signals your browser makes available and labels them as estimates.
Windows version, exact CPU model, installed RAM, processor count, graphics adapters, and dedicated graphics memory are unavailable in this website check. Your browser cannot read those Windows details or run PowerShell.
Browser RAM and processor values are estimates. Values are marked detected, estimated, reported by you, or unavailable. Missing values stay unavailable. Shared graphics memory is not used in place of dedicated memory.
The scan uses provisional cutoffs: LITE at 4 GB and 2 processors, BIZ at 8 GB and 4, and PRO at 8 GB and 8. When readings are available, these cutoffs decide which tiers it shows and which one it suggests. If a required reading is missing, the result is inconclusive unless a known value is below the LITE minimum. These are heuristics, not product requirements or proof of compatibility or speed.
The optional Local.ai sample test uses a fictional quote and lets you note what you observe in that run. It does not verify Local.ai or guarantee performance.
Your information
After consent, the result is saved with an opaque visit token. It includes the versioned fit outcome, any suggested setup, completion time, and a summary of Windows version, CPU model, installed RAM, logical processors, graphics adapters, and dedicated graphics memory. Each hardware field is marked detected, estimated, reported by you, or unavailable. Unavailable fields have no value. A broad RAM range you choose is saved separately from browser estimates and Windows-reported values. You do not need to sign up or provide an email.
This scan saves browser RAM and processor signals as estimates. It cannot read the Windows version, exact CPU model, installed RAM, processor count, graphics adapter names, or dedicated graphics memory, so those fields have no value. Sample-test observations stay in the tab and are not included in the saved result. If you start the PC check from a phone handoff and submit an email there, the result may be linked to that handoff. Separately, after a result you can enter an email and opt in to one outcome summary. Both choices are optional: you can view and save the result without an email. The summary contains the outcome or suggested tier and the estimate caveat, not hardware details. It is separate from the phone-handoff email, its reminder, and marketing choices.
The Companion is separate software. This website does not check whether it is installed or how it handles data.
Moving from phone to PC
If you add an email to the phone handoff, Officeersassociates it with that handoff. A reminder is sent after two days only if you opt in separately. Completing the PC check prevents the reminder. Marketing choice is separate, and the handoff sends no marketing email.
The handoff email does not include Windows details. Anonymous sessions without a captured email may be cleaned up after 30 days. That cleanup does not remove contact records; this page sets no retention deadline for them.
